AMERA supports federal legislation regulating Non-Transplant Tissue Banks.

AMERA's chairman has worked closely with Congressman Gosar’s office to develop legislation help to regulate all non-transplant tissue banks in the United States. This ground-breaking bill requires that all non-transplant tissue banks be licensed by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and be inspected as part of that licensure. In addition, this Bill will require truth in labeling and contamination prevention requirements, as well as requirements for proper use according to consent conditions and donor wishes.

If you or your organization also wish to support this Bill to become law, or if you have questions before showing your support, please contacting us and we will answer your questions and/or forward your comments to Congress.

This is a milestone for Non-Transplant Tissue Banks throughout the nation. Please ask questions and show your support!
